The Rule, Restated

Two-thirds as wide. Centre at 57 in. Six to eight inches of air.

A 45 in console takes a 30 in canvas. A 54 in sideboard takes 36 in. A 72 in sofa takes 48 in. Hang so the middle of the canvas is 57 to 60 in off the floor, and leave 6 to 8 in between the furniture and the bottom edge.
